    MEP-803a no longer works correctly

I'm having the same issue on an 802a. I thought the S5 had gone bad so I replaced it. Still nothing. I'll look at the recomendations here before I continue. Thanks for the help.

    Main start switch dead Mep-802

My face is red. And not because I'm half American Indian. I'm embarrassed. The red emergency shut down switch was engaged. Oh well, I guess it gave me an excuse to do a good visual inspection of the unit. Thanks to everyone who tried to help this old fart, I truly do appreciate it. RD Sent...

    Main start switch dead Mep-802

S1 is dead no clicking no lights no pump noise...nothing. The float module in the tank was replaced about 2 years ago. When I discovered what looked like an empty main fuel tank, I put about 4 gallons in it and it was full so, I'm not so sure it ran to empty.

    Main start switch dead Mep-802

When using the aux tank, it just keeps the main tank full but if S1 is in the main position instead of the aux position, it will run the main empty.

    Main start switch dead Mep-802

I opened all the compartment doors and the front panel. No evidence of rodents or bugs.

    Main start switch dead Mep-802

No sound at S1 at all! I refilled the tank from a 5 gallon jug. Its as rodent proof as I can get it. Its mounted inside a "wind and water tight" shipping container. Doors are always closed.

    Main start switch dead Mep-802

Got it. I put them back in the way they came out and the engine turns over well. Ill check them again just to be sure. Thanks

    Main start switch dead Mep-802

I've been using my MEP-802 for my off grid property for about 3 years. Its been great! Ran the gen for about 10 hours about 2 weeks ago to charge the RV batteries, watch TV etc. Went back to the property about 1 week later to find the main start switch dead (no clicking no lights no nothing). I...

    Wiring a 50 amp 120v rv service

You are correct. The trailer is an RV so no ground. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Generator in a shipping container

The pipe I used is 1 1/2 " npt. I'll just cut out a section and clamp it in.

    Wiring a 50 amp 120v rv service

Ok, I got it done. The wiring run is 72' buried 24" down in 1" PVC pipe and 83' overall. I ran 4 6 gauge wires. One each red, black, green and white. I connected the red to L1, black to L3, white to N and green to ground. I set the genny to 120/240. I wired the RV end just like you would a 240/...

I just ordered one of these. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Generator in a shipping container

I don't want or need it elevated. I'd be concerned about over filling the on-board tank with a siphon issue. I will be dividing the container in half at the center. If you look in the pic, there is 2 plywood covered cutout's for man doors. One will be the easy access to the genny. The other...

Thanks Joe, I had planned a condensate drain. The flex line is a good thought as well. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
