Awesome! Yes, closet/bathroom. I have a cassette toilet in it with a tilt up shelf. But plan on making a slide out for the toilet. when I raise the roof I’ll make it a shower too.
My thoughts are to keep the roof totally intact. Drill out all the rivots in an out raise the whole unit. The...
Here‘s a few updated pics of the old girl. I’m definitley considering a roof raise. Grind and drill out all of the rivots, use a drywall lift to push the top up and build a set of pony walls out a steel studs. Going for 12” finished. Keep the doors as they are.
has anyone ever successfully...
Not really, it’s been very cold here and I haven’t wanted to work outside. I did return the fridge. I’ going to rework my wiring a smidge this weekend. Step up the gauge and shorten a few runs, adding two house batterie. I am also ordering the ICECO fridge which uses the Danfoss compressor.Will...
Not using an inverter for the fridge other than to test stuff. It’s mainly for the induct cooktop and such.
i definitely hear the compressor kick on when it needs to cool one or both compartments.
I would have thought so seeing as it’s a 28v alternator. I have both but swapped them out recently cuz the one that was in it only was pushing 26.5 volts the other one was 27.2v so I went with it. The prior owner didn’t like the double alternator setup. And has turned it into a single, and oddly...
Yes sir. I have the stock power in the box. And 10’ of super thick high quality jumper cables to where I’m getting power for the fridge. My temp test cable sucks. And will use another set of cables for the test. Ultimately if I wire things up properly and hack the factory power cable for the...
So my initial voltage reading is in the Dometic app itself. So it reads it accurately at the start. At the batteries I read 25.5 when running it’s 27v.
at the box in the back it reads 25.5 and where I’m tapping into the power it reads the same. Even at the unscrewed plug end at the factory...
So, the power junction block in the box on the drivers side is where I’m hooking to. I used 6 or 8 gauge jumper cables cut and run from there through the floor drain holes and up the other side to my kitchen cab. About 8’ long. I’m tapping into that power before I hit my 24v to 12v converter for...
I think you’re correct. The fridge has been in my Ram Cummins all night unplugged and is at 23°. It fridge starts with the truck off and shows 14v. When the compressor starts it pulls all the way down to 9.6v then shuts off.
In retrospect, others on YT running this unit have solar and a house...
Bill - I hear you. I am trying to stay away from using any propane in this build. I will be running additional batteries with a manual disconnect to separate the starting batteries, solar in the future as well.
I’m thinking I am either under batteried or the compressor is “faulty” and is...
SCSG-G4 - I believe we had the truck running and the fridge running and compressor off. Then we shut the truck off and adjust the temp to kick on the compressor. The app would show voltage at 25 and change, then get pulled down to 23.2 and start the compressor “bare;y” and shut off when set to...
Hey guys,
i’ve got a lot of my pesky issues taken care of and the interior almost built out on my 1010. I am having one weird issue with my new Dometic CFX95DZ.
it runs great off of 110v using a 24v 3000w inverter. It runs great when the truck is running (compressor kicks on and stays on)...
Holy cow....I just installed amber 2057’s in the forward blinkers. It snowing her today something fierce but I’ll definitely change them to 1157’s and see what happens.
thank you for sharing.
Between my thread and this one, it has convinced me to embrace my slow gene. Plod along and enjoy the scenery. Or throw retarded money out the window on a proper adventure rig.
i love my ten ten, but my ‘12 Ram crew cab 6.7L Cummins has polluted me, I mean spoiled....lol
Ah....well. The prior owner of my 1010 made an over built upper alternator bracket and eliminated the lower. I’m trying to get brackets from cucvrus so I can reinstall the lower one and have it charge my house batteries. I guess I better rethink this and possibly just leave it alone.
thanks...
