OHIO BMV Changed my Street Legal Title from Virginia to Off Road USE only

I've talked to Frank Hoagland about the issue a few times and he didn't seem too interested in discussing it even though he likes my deuce in the parades and even parked in his driveway. I have even thought about getting a Vermont license plate. I've heard that they will plate almost anything.

OHIO BMV Changed my Street Legal Title from Virginia to Off Road USE only

I agree. They used to print your drivers license at the BMV, give it to you and ask if everything was correct. What do you do now when you get it in the mail and find out you no longer have a CDL or your endorsements are wrong?

OHIO BMV Changed my Street Legal Title from Virginia to Off Road USE only

One of my friends just titled and registered a bobbed deuce that he bought from Boyce Equipment. He told me that he went to the Akron BMV because Cadiz gave him the same story they did me. I haven't seen Frank to talk to him about it. But Ohio Revised code 4503.181 states that any vehicle that...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Mounted the alternator, had to run to NAPA for some longer belts. Just waiting on the radiator to get done. The guy was able to repair it after all. I guess all it took was a little criticism about it being his job. He said that he is semi retired and usually stays away from that kind of job. I...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Finished the alternator bracket. I wish there was a 24 hour hardware store around. Need some 1 inch long 7/16 bolts and lock washers.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Just found out today that the radiator that I pulled from the 76 is not repairable and the new one that I bought new has been damaged in storage so now I am going another route. Ordered one for a Case MX100 tractor off of fleabay, Looks like I can make it work.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I have 2 of those kits to put on trucks. I'm rebuilding or replacing everything in the brake system on the 70, some jackwagon put DOT 3 fluid in it and the wheel cylinder bores were rusted.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I always worry about ripping off fuel, air and brake lines. I crunched a doe about 3 weeks ago on a county road about 50 mph. Sounded horrible. I dreaded hitting the brake pedal for fear of nothing being there.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Radiator on the 76 was leaking so I pulled it last week and took it to Carnegie Radiator outside of Pittsburgh. I figured it was a good time to change over to a screw on primary fuel filter. Used a napa base, inlet and outlet were the same sizes as the old housing. Found the alternator case was...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Put a short enough chain in between 2 vehicles and it has no choice but to follow. Brought home an S10 with an S10 blazer. Chained together. About 15 miles on a county road.

    License Plates for a 2 1/2 ton ?

In Ohio the stipulation for historical plates is to and from an event/function and to and from a repair shop. If you get caught driving it for anything else they can make you surrender your plates. I put Historical on one and Commercial plates on the other because it is really hard trying to...

    how to remove rear drum?

Center punch the backing plate close to the edge. Drill a hole that you can thread 1/4" pipe plug later. Take the nuts off holding the drum on. Then use a hammer and punch to knock the drum loose. Rotate it a quarter turn with every whack. Comes off really easy. Do what you need to and thread...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

3rd gear low range but from what I have seen, my truck is not normal. I have been in a dozen different deuces and this one has more power by a long shot. It always feels like it is on the edge of coming apart. No idea what the rpms were. Didn't even look at the gauges. I just slipped the clutch...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

They had the sled set up for 8800lb pro stock tractors. They were going 280' to 330' I took it just about 260'. Not bad considering the power rating. The tag on the block says 77MM3/stroke fuel rate and 140hp at 2600 rpm. It's a White engine.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

    Split brake system

I'm not saying that it doesn't work great but for the expense of it I'd be better off parting out the truck and buying an air force deuce. Since the air pack that is on mine is not working.

    Split brake system

I can do the multi master cylinder setup for less than $200. The Ford F800s were manual brake 15 inch drum systems. But were also single circuit systems. I have had a brake failure already. I didn't like it. The jeep Cherokee that stopped me liked it even less. I'm wanting to have a more...
