96 + hours and counting . Operating flawlessy and all readings within range. I'm just curious what could explain the slight variation in oil pressure ( no concern but as a learning point). TM specifies a range of 20 to 60 psi. When operating at less than 6 kw ( < 60% load)...
We had a rain/ wind storm on Monday which resulted in over 1500 seperate power outages initially impacting 130k customers in New Brunswick.
803 has been flawlessy powering the house for 62 hours and counting. ( we are in a rural area , likely to be another 24 to 48 hrs before power is restored)...
I should add, that the set was running fine and would run at full load . The only symptom was that the 803a would randomly " bog down" as if large additional load was suddenly applied. ( That is before the S8 failure fried the stator.. and the set died :) ).
Should it be S8 or related to S8 as mentioned above. I suggest you do a very thorough visual inspection of S8. I had a S8 failure on my 803a which led to a "fried" Stator . As you can see from the Pics , the S8 failure was not obvious with the switch in the 803a and all wires connected. Even...
Remove injectors and turn engine over to see what comes out of injector holes ( PS - ⚠️ - liquid in the cylinder , if any, will come out VERY forcefully. ) oil of any kind may not necessarily be bad - water would be a nightmare scenario.

The fuel injectors are what , as per ray 70 suggestion, you want to remove. They are located on top of the head to the left ( If you are facingthe radiator). The injection pump (fuel pump - timing issue .... one at the time) are mid engine to the right ( arguably requiring more TM...
Highly unlikely scenario but may be worth a look.
When I acquired my 803a I ran into a similar problem with turning the engine by hand. It turned out that on cylinder was hydro locked

Been using these type for last 2 years on transfer switch to monitor output of 803a . Of course not as accurate as fluke meter, but helpful nonetheless
The second "exhaust stack" is for the "artic heater kit" which is an option on 802a and 803a. Basically it prewarm the engine coolant to 140°F before startup. Nice to have in colder climate 😀
