What have you done WITH your FMTV ( trips, Rescues etc) NOT: fixes, updates etc

Hell yeah. I love parking next to modern 1-ton trucks and watching their reaction when they come back to see me cleanly in my space, while their ass-end is 2 miles out in the lot.

I agree! Ran across a small pine that had come down on an ATV trail we were traveling on, but realized we'd forgotten our hand saw. Ran over it a few times with the 1078, and it was broken into small enough chunks to move by hand!

Hit the nail on the head. I've had many modern full sizes pull up on the trail and are astonished how tame the footprint of my 1078 really is by comparison. Thanks to the tire size and axle location, my wheelbase hub-to-hub is generally a touch shorter that a lot of crew cab models built...

Got out with the gang to track down some Christmas trees, and enjoy all the great snow we've been getting in the mountains here in Idaho. We were the first to get to the trail in the AM, so got to lay some fresh tracks for my friends, and a whole convoy of classic Broncos that showed up behind...

It's that time of year again. May all your tanks hold air, and your gaskets not leak! Merry Christmas, and a Joyous NoeLMTV to everyone!

Rig has been staying fine as frogs hair with some regular maintenance of all the fluids, whole lotta grease, and a few excursions as often as I can to keep things moving nicely, while I make some shop space for my far more problematic ventures in the bottom two pictures below. Man, GM sure put...

I think I have some more details further up in the thread, but it somehow wound up sitting to the point all the fluids had gelled, leading someone to fry the starter solenoid at some point in time trying to crank it. A degunk of the fuel tank/lines, flush of the oil, and new solenoid, and it's...

Been a busy spring so far, but managed to get away for a few short outings near town. Saw some local wildlife while we were at it too:

Amen, there's a couple out here that I see as part of ranch fleets. If we're all being honest, it's basically just a speedy tractor underneath :driver:

Had some spare time on my hands lately, and wanted to clean up some branch marks (hits its head on everything on our forest trails) and take care of the old auction paint pen markings on the cab. Now, I KNOW I have come across some threads on the auction marks, but in my stupidity forgot to...

Nice! Yeah, one of the perks of the stock racing seats is simple hardware and no airbags/electrical to worry about. You use any of the aforementioned brands in any of your other builds?

100%! Unless you can piggyback on your buddies wholesale purchasing perk :wink:2cents

Yeah, I believe I remember a post where I guy got a couple seats out of Honda Civic SI for dirt cheap from the salvage yard that worked nicely. I figured, what the hell though, if I can get brand-new ones for cheap, might as well go for it!

Been batting around the idea of putting some new seats in the truck, and as luck would have it, friend of mine started a new gig with a supply company that gives him some pretty good purchasing perks. Anyone have any experience with seats by the following manufacturers, that have worked well...

    GOVPLANET/USMC latest EUC times?

Very lucky, that's for sure! The real anomaly is the whole EUC process in general aua

Photos from earlier this year, just an outing with a buddy of mine + family. My fav pic of the day ... of course it came out blurry. Road is a relative term. Our route for the day.

True, poor taxonomy on my part, but definitely the point on the housing where the most air was coming out. Couldn't find any details on the internal layout beyond the spring/plunger mechanism. Could just be enough air coming from the housing that it feels like the source is there, may need to...

Moved the truck after sitting a while the other day, and noticed a lot of hissing from the rear once the parking brake is off. Most results here on the forum seem to point to a bad diaphragm in the chamber. Air is coming almost entirely from the valve in the attached pic, with some noticeable...
