I have a '86 M1025 that has 2.56 (41 / 16) ratio. I had understood that the geared hubs had a ratio of 1.92 : 1 . I am not sure that I am correct, these may be 2 : 1 as mentioned above.
To remove the differential covers, I believe, one needs to procure the revised brackets.

Is the subject matter, a nice to have -or- must have?
Has anyone added the above to older models (say M1025 A0)? If so, how much...
I know this link was in 2021 but I will ask anyway; I have 2.56 : 1 but do not the combined ratio including the geared hubs of 1.92 : 1. Please advise as I have installed a HGM harness to my 4L80E powered by 1992 CUMMINS 5.9L 6BT engine and within the setup, the software asks for the ratio.
Thanks.

I sure hope so. Stripping down to remove the differential cover is a real pain.

I was unable to locate a TM for this activity. Any guidance welcomed.
I am in it so deep now, not sure how to get out of the swamp!!
I want to remain safe and sound. Thanks for the reinforcement to use double bead-locks. (If I get the double bead-locks, are you still interested in what I remove??)
BTW, found the following. This is the same set-up that I presently have.

Looks like best option is to remove the run-flats as a whole and install double bead-locks to avoid having the tire come off. I have checked http://www.trailworthyfab.com/Hummer-Wheel-PVC-Insert.html . These seem to ensure the tire stays against the...
Just for clarity, I summarized the run-flats that I just removed. I checked Hutchinson's website and did not find the type I have. It seems these were manufactured in 2018.
I think best to find the double bead-locks and install same. I am sure that balancing will be better rather than...
