    4L80E No shift from 2nd---SOLVED!

If you recently installed the motor did you backspace the converter properly? Can eat up a pump in a few miles if it’s too tight. Once the pump goes then pressures fall and clutches, etc fail short after. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M38 A 1

The bearings in the steering knuckles are likely worn. Common problem with a Jeep that has a few miles on it.

Oversized pistons and ring end gap

I’m still struggling with your bore measurements. If pistons are 20 thou over your measurements must be off. I’d start there before moving on.

Oversized pistons and ring end gap

How did you measure the bore? A dedicated bore gauge or snap gauges you transfer to micrometers? The second method takes patience to get right and you need to measure side to side and not front to back. The piston will rock in the bore and will wear slightly oblong as a result. Are you sure...

    M38a1 loss of power backfiring

Any resolution on this? If you let ethanol fuel sit in the Jeep it’s hydroscopic (absorbs water) so it can ruin a fuel system in short time. Sounds like you could have a fuel issue or ignition.

    Saving deeply discharged Optima 51R's

Good luck but I’ve had very little success bringing a battery that deeply discharged back to life. Search online as Optima has a section specifically on deeply discharged AGM batteries. Has 3 options on how to recover the batt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    MTVR CTIS problem

Most analog sensors produce a voltage that is read by the ECU. Normally these are a high input impedance looking in. As a result the currents are very low. Online resistance is essentially a don’t care in that type of setup. As long as you get the voltage required and the harness is capable of...

    M38A1- Need engine rebuild advice

So timing is OK and did you adjust idle mixture screw. I typically adjust in till RPM just starts to fall then back out about 1/8. I bet you have fuel delivery issues. At higher RPM the pump needs to deliver a lot more fuel. Your needle, carb bowl , and of course the main jet need to be clear...

    Arduino 4L80e controller

Hardware interrupts will be your friend for all the pulse inputs and such. Avoid blocking code by trying to sample the inputs. Ideally put everything off a timer interrupt and service the various inputs/ outputs, if any, within the time period you allocate. Not sure how many embedded projects...
