    MEP-802A/803A S1 Master Switch Source - Electroswitch

YUP. They work freely and I don't feel it takes undo force to operate them.

    MEP-802A/803A S1 Master Switch Source - Electroswitch

Received the three switches yesterday, Thanks LITD. Question: Do I replace my functioning old style switch now or wait till it does break and I need the generator?

    MEP-8xx series fuel pump

My short history with the Facet pumps is with the 2-802's and the 1-803. Of the 3 main pumps and the 3 AUX pumps I got one of each to work. I know these pumps are pushing 30 years old. But as with most thing, there are better options. I like the built in pre filter before the main pump to...

    The infamous Well Nut info

Look at the "Ultimate Well Nut" Once and done and solid brass and uses o-rings to seal.

    MEP-8xx series fuel pump

Would like to know if anyone has used this style of pump? Looks like it would be a good candidate for both the main and aux pump. Does state that it will free flow when off, which is a concern in the aux position. Like the fact that it has a visible strainer.

New Potential Owners - Generator Model Numbers ARE Important!

I had those three MEP-803A power plants on my watch list. Holy Smoke that was a steep closing price. People need to settle down and take a breath!!! You buy boats in the winter for the same reason.

After Action Report- Texas Gulf Coast

If we figure them out we will stop "tinkering" with them. Tinkering is the fun part!!! We are still talking about generators? Right?

After Action Report- Texas Gulf Coast

Always good to hear from you Guyfang!!! Read user's talk about the balance/imbalance of their service. Just did not remember what the max these units can take before there is an issue. FIRST EMERGENCY RUN (y) As for the beatings from the wife. Those came months before as I was buying these...

After Action Report- Texas Gulf Coast

DieselAddict, I think you caught my mistake. Started the run with a full tank. Put 5 gal in when the gauge read 1/2 tank twice. Put a final 5 gallons in to bring it back to full right before I shut it down when the power returned. So I only went through ~10 gallons of fuel for the 37 hours...

After Action Report- Texas Gulf Coast

First off, I bought the generator for HURICANES!!! 🥶 Highlights: MEP-802 37 hours of continuous run time. 15 gallons of diesel used. Averaged .4 gallon/hour. First time to blow the VR protection fuse during cranking over. 3A automotive blade fuse, not a slow blow. No veristor at this time...

Tank Blanketing, for long term storage on big tanks?

Pad gas: Gas added to the vapor space of the vessel or tank to prevent the forming of an explosive or ignitable vapor-air mixture. Pad pressure: The minimum pressure of the pad gas. The pressure to be maintained as product is drawn...

Tank Blanketing, for long term storage on big tanks?

The diaphragms have to be large in diameter to get any force to move when dealing with inches of water column, if not pilot operated. I would set the pad pressure as low as possible. Then set the de-pad back pressure regulator as high as possible within safety margin. This will keep the tanks...

    MEP 803a failure

You will need to put in some kind of lifting aid on the stator at the point you have it in now. I used an engine hoist. Lift the stator by the cable at the top. Remove the two mounting bolts that attach it to the skid. Put just enough lift to take the load of the stator, no more. It should...

    Mep-802a engine change

My vote is for removal in one piece. Removed my engine and gen head as one unit on an 803A.

MEP 802/803 Fuel Supply Hose Replacement

These fitting used on the fuel lines are reusable. Tighten the nut onto a fitting, with the other end of the hose disconnected, unscrew it (blue piece) in a counter clockwise direction. This will back out the ferrule from the tubing. The part left on the hose it’s screwed on with left hand...

    803 not generating

The 5 bolts that have the white stripe are the ones that hold the flywheel to the crank. Have other pic of the area if needed.
