    Harris PRC-152 VAA Project

Great minds think alike I picked up these three items to get it all together. I have a TCA PRC-152 clone coming… was hoping to get it to play nice but it sounds like that’s gonna be a no go. This may be a dumb question but this VAA is for F2 or F3 originally?

Help, VIC-3 to non military radio

Scratch that bought an TRI PRC-152. Hoping to build a box to connect up to Vic-3. I bought a 2 sided 6 pin cable, a u-283 connector, an m55181/8 16 pin connector, and the proper cable (CX-13473) to connect to Vic 3. I’m going to need to build a little ‘box’ like Augi’s Vic-3 solution. 6 pin...

IBIS tek HID to LED conversion

HID is just old - heavy electrical draw…. Less reliable. I also don’t have a need for the infrared which I’d like to replace with flashing lights.

IBIS tek HID to LED conversion

Has anyone successfully modified the IBIS Tek HID light bars and convert them to LED? I was just curious if anyone had attempted or succeeded at this. Bypassing the ballasts and re-wiring would not be super difficult. I’m more concerned about finding LED’s that would fit with as little...

    Power Steering Pump Pulley Removal

I just dealt with this on my 1165. I first removed the belt, then took the bolt off the front of the pulley. Then the fun…. HAMMER turn, HAMMER turn, until she comes loose one millimeter at a time. I beat the crap out of my pully and when it finally came lose I washed it down, used a dremmel to...

    Transmission cooling loop fitting wiggle

The cooling loop goes to the oil cooling stack. The power steering gear , break booster, fan clutch, ps reservoir all loop to the cooling stack. There are 4 total connections to the cooler. I’m not sure if fluid flows freely to the other part of the cooling loop for transmission/transfer case...
