M1078A1 decided to go crazy today.

I ended up messing with it again tonight. When I took a reading from the 24v battery bolt on the PDP and to ground it was low. like 13v but it would slowly climb to 24.4v after 90 or so seconds. Then when I flip the power switch it would power up for a second and then go out. The process of the...

M1078A1 decided to go crazy today.

New one now... Moved it to change the tires and now it doesnt power anything on when I hit the switch. It smells like something might have burnt under the PDP. I opened the panel below and nothing looks bad. I guess I need to take all the screws off the PDP to lift it out and look at the back of...

M1078A1 decided to go crazy today.

Checked all the connections along the trans harness last night. Was hoping to not have to pull it all out to check for bad wires as this one doesn’t seem to be brittle yet. This morning worked fine for 25 miles. So I’m guessing it was one of the connectors.

Well I guess when you fix one the other one starts to go nuts.... My 1078A1 has been running fine. Today after sitting away I went out for a ride and it went into 5 and check trans came on. IT would reset when I stop and then as soon as I start driving go back to check trans an #5. Codes in...

What is this line for? Rebuilding my 1083 saga.

Today I replaced the Trans push button control which was working but the screen was all wonky. Pulled it out and it was marked bad on the back. So I swapped in the new one and thats perfect now. IT also seemed to stop the fan clutch solenoid from dumping as well. It now only dumps when I turn...

Today is a great day! Took the this unknown beast and brought it back to life. After getting all the missing and broken parts replaced its up and going now. Just two things popped up today. The trans push button control has what seems to be a bad screen. It shifts and drives fine just doesnt...

What is this line for? Rebuilding my 1083 saga.

Now that makes sense! Do you know what the plug next to that is with the sheared off wires? Everything cranked fine yesterday when I finally got my battery situation sorted out. I should have it full of coolant tomorrow. Some diesel into the tank and hopes it comes back to life. Then I just...

What is this line for? Rebuilding my 1083 saga.

While dropping in a radiator and charged air cool I noticed this line driver side too of the 3126. Looks like 1/16” air line. Not sure what it’s for. I need to find a new ferrule for it since the end that’s broken off is fused to its ferrule. Also need to fix the wires that were ripped off next...

Thank you. Yes I think when the time comes to tackle that part ill just run new wire from the posts up by the spare down to the battery box to know for sure the 24v from the 12v.

Need help identifying a part for my LMTV or if I should even be trying to repair it at this point.

I think the person who pulled a bunch of parts out did that to stop them from flopping around. Is it safe to wire them back to there respective positions without the disconnect, disconnect relay and nato plug?

Well operation recover the inoperable M1083 went smoothly. Its now in a spot where it will sit for a month or two during the IL cold. I know most of the parts that are missing and can match them up to my 1078 but I have one part that was loose in the bed and a plug dangling by the battery box I...

    Towing a dead M1083 with M1079

It did end up working just fine. I did need someone in the tow vehicle during backing up to turn or hold the wheel to keep the towed M1083s wheels in check.
