    if you want to insure it in maryland with no restrictions, it is quite easy. put regular tags on it after you go thru state inspection. expect insurance to run $800 to $1000 a year. i did that with my unimog because it did not meet the age requirements.

    too true. if you ever need them they are going to drop you like a hot rock. you might as well just drive it with no insurance, cause that is what you have.

    there are several companies who will gladly insure it, j.c. taylor is one but with historic tags there are going to be restrictions. if you don't want to go by the rules then get commercial tags and pay the high price of using it for what you want.
