Late post, but I have been busy. After tracing down ferro's problem to a brand new condenser(we rebuilt the carb twice, the ING system three times, including 3 differnet coils). We tackled my clutch. Buttoned it all back up, test drove it, and we are ready for the trails.
Lots of folks have...
Come on down! Plenty of room, the air is nice and crisp. It should be a little warm for the yankees, just right for NC, SC, North Ga, and a bit cold for the southern boys. Right now it is overcast, with about a 5 MPH wind out of the NW, gusting to 10 or so. Weather man says it should be...
Just another wonderful day at the Ga SS rally. Much cooler, with a wind strong enough to keep the biting bugs down. Over night, the Morgans and Kenny showed up, and Carnac just now pulled in.
We are starting to get a rally........
0728, and it looks like I am the only one up. We did get rain showers, with some of them heavy enough to wake me up out of a drug induced stupor. I just rolled over and went back to sleep. Had two more M109's come in late, Dwight and some one else.
It looks like it is gonna be a buggy rally...
Well, it is day two of the Pre rally, and a wonderful sunrise is in the offing. Nice reddish orange glow over to the east, and not a cloud in the sky, or a breath or wind. The mocking birds just started up, and my squirrel dog is scanning the trees, looking for one to chase. The cow over at DT...
I think it's a little of both. We checked for spark, and had none. Come to find a bad connection(wires just twisted together). Plus only 19 volts at the coil. I did get it started, after having ferro tow me at 15 MPH.
Ferro and I will change the coil( borrowed Zout's) tomorrow) and I will...
Been to busy to post pictures. M37 has been giving me fits- the overheating has been cured, but now it won't hot start. Zout and Ferro think the coil may be going south.....
Well, We hit Dt at 1430, to find Ron sitting pretty at the rally field. No problems setting up camp, and right now it is dead quiet. The stars are out, and all is good. Hurry up and get here.
Plain and simple, I gots ants in my pants. Finished the fuel run today, everything is topped off. Menu is fixed for the days that the MKT won't be there, and there is a pile of stuff to go into the bed of the "Long Easy". Bout's all I have left to do is pack the food, and pack the clothes...
Am i gonna have to kidnap you? As good as the M814 is, I just don't have room for 2 m37's, a M915 and a M270 trl. You better fix it, as I am buying food for you.
RR? You holding out on me? I thought I would be in on this project........
Still loading the M814. Nice thing about a big truck is that you can bring everything, and still have room in the back for a M37.
I have everything together, last thing is to go food shopping on Thursday...
I am planning to depart my home around 1200, and be at durham town around 1400. I confirmed my camping spot today, so I am all set. I am bringing my push lawn mower, so I can have that " manicured feel" around my FOB.
SUpper friday night is Hamburgers.... at least for me and the wife.
