Just an update to help anyone else having issues. Mine wouldn't engage the front axle and was blowing air into the T-case. After taking it apart I found that the piston was installed backwards. Works perfect now. I love easy and free fixes!
I have not taken it apart yet, I was going to collect the repair parts first. I suppose I could take it apart and go to the local hydraulic supply house and get new orings there.
