Cut open coolant filter from the deuce
I had the same problem. I ended up welding a piece of small square tube about 8" long to the plug and twisting on that to get the stuck buggers out. They were really stuck!- joshs1ofakindxj

Getting ready to order a filter set up for my truck and when researching the plumbing I see one of the holes people use is the water pump housing hole where I have a heater element installed. Installation pictures I'm referencing are here...- joshs1ofakindxj
