    I've had good luck with this company http://www.makcotransmissionparts.com/3L80-400.html . There's a zillion places you can get parts from if you shop around.

    TH400 rebuild time.

    TH400 is pretty easy. All the components are BIG and there's not much else in the trans. If you got the 727 to work you shouldn't have any trouble with the TH400 :)
