    You might have a pulse type charger. I think those help de-sulphate the battery. I would let it go over night.

    Hard to say without knowing what kind of charger you have. Mine is a smart charger and has an LED that lights when its done. If I test once its done and the load tester leaves the green, the battery is bad.

    It could work, but why go with the bare minimum? I look for the highest CCA battery that will fit. As I said before, look for some 8D batterys.

    Thats awful low on amp hours, why not group 31?

    You might be able to charge them one at a time and bring them back, hard to say till you do it.

    You need to be careful running it with bad batterys. That can burn out your alt.

    You have a series parallel connection. Think of it as 2-24 volt batterys in parallel. You could just get two "8d" batterys(in series) and be done with it.
