    Front axle brake shoes wear out faster than rear axle brake shoes?

    Consider a modern vehicle will usually need front brakes starting at around 50-60K miles and the rears closer to 100-140K miles. You got 25K miles out of unknown(if they were new when you started) brakes. Replace them and have a nice day.
