    M925 making a strange noise

I could'nt get the old one off so I ran the drive line over the Inland Truck Parts, they do awesome drive line and transmission work. When I installed the drive line back on the truck I can push it up and down a little at the bearing.

    M925 making a strange noise

I changed the carrier bearing today and the noise went away. I guess that solves that problem. The new bearing has some slight up and down play. Is this normal?

    M925 making a strange noise

I have one ordered. When I replace it I will let you know if that's what is was. I am pretty sure its the bearing. Did some driving yesterday and every time we heard it I sprayed it with WD-40 and it would stop. This really is a great site. I enjoy the search feature and TM's. Hopefully this...

    M925 making a strange noise

I had soldier A (wife) hop in the drivers seat. While soldier B (me) walked next to it at slow speeds and to me it sounded like it was in the transmission area. I have no clue why soldier A told me it was coming from the rear ends. I took a can of good old WD-40 and sprayed down the front...

    M925 making a strange noise

I have checked the dog bones and ever thing looks good there. U-joints LOOK good and tight but I am not ruling them out just yet. I guess I know what I am doing over the weekend. Pulling brake drums and possibly axles, thanks for the suggestion gimpyrob. As for the bows and cover it was making...

    M925 making a strange noise

Update. I got home from work earlier than expected thanks to the upcoming holiday. Took spare tire boom off and removed the spare. Took it down the road and it still does it. Got it out on the interstate and had my wife follow me. She could hear the noise following me from quite a distance...

    M925 making a strange noise

When brasco mentioned the spare tire davit roller I thought for sure that's what it was. I duct taped the roller so it can't move and had the wife grab hold of the boom and the noise was still present. I'm sorry I should have posted that info when I posted the video. I am going to remove the...

    M925 making a strange noise

Thanks for the idea Mik929. I had the wife record the noise as I was driving it today. Sorry about the picture, she held her phone out the rear window to best capture the odd noise. The First video it starts making the noise about 15 seconds in. Also in the first video I shifted into neutral so...

    M925 making a strange noise

Finally got around to the parking brake. I disassembled the parking brake on the drive line. Every thing checked out. Adjusted it and it functions like it should. Took it for a test drive and the noise is still there. Seems to do it when coasting or decelerating after running at higher speeds...

    M925 making a strange noise

Since I have owned my M925 I have noticed a strange jingle/ chatter noise that sounds like it coming from behind and underneath the cab. It does intermittently and only when moving. It seems to do it most when I am running high speeds for a long time, then when I slow for a stop sign you can...
