Any way back to the subject thread the 35 is a simple truck and if you take care of her you will see she works out to be what you want.
My M35A2 sets for months at a time and even a year. Touch the starter button and she fires. These old trucks can take allot. I have never abused it though. Good maintenance.
If you could pick up one with the winch I think it would fit your bill. You could winch out other vehicles, pull fallen trees from the woods and even make a crane tri pod for lifting.
