Hey Swamp, you have extra mount holes already drilled in your bumper for another winch. Maybe have the back one spool onto the front one and have a 36,000 pound killer winch.....Now that would be a conversation piece for sure.
I don't know how much a hydraulic one would cost you in purchasing and installation costs, but these are easy to install and a good bang for the buck really.
We have already modified his chains so that they will hold the tailgate level with the bed if he hooks them in. We modified all of our trucks so that the chains are welded to the truck sides instead of the tailgate. This was done much earlier. We talked about it not opening all the way but he...
The extensions are 18" long with approximately 9.5" of overlap to catch the 2 rear holes. A fellow member, Hard head, found the 10" C channel pieces of truck frame at a truck mod business.
And so it begins. These winches came off of an MRAP, a 27,000 + lb vehicle, which, according to your line of thinking, only a fool would attempt to use it on said vehicle. I appreciate your concern but I have no intentions of ever using it beyond it's capacity. I didn't buy these trucks to bury...
