    Old style head gaskets

    so if the old style gasket lasted 40 years, even though it may only be 20 to 30 k miles, why would someone need the new style to last more than, say 4 times as long? the point is that many early diesel truck engines had head gasket problems. this problem killed off the 9.0 international engines...
