    Glad to see that things smoothen out for you! It is nice that you make the effort to keep an original gasser an original gasser and not do a swap of some sort. I think that they are not outright rare, yet, but they sure seem to become rare-ish, especially sound trucks with strong running...

    The flat plastic washer from the plumbing isle, intended to fit sink traps etc. is a perfect fit. Bring your cap; I think it is the 1 1/4 inch diameter.

    Actually, not so bad getting it into the cab corner. You will check the brake fluid level more often when the reservoir is in the cab!

    You probably already saw this thread about steering box seals: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?105162-M35-steering-box-seals Strong suggestion is to either leave the box alone and use cornhead grease (0 or 00 semi-liquid grease) or to take it out and do a full rebuild, not just seals.

    Had a similar issue. Backed bottom adjusters up all the way. Adjusted top for slight drum drag. Drove truck. Re-adjusted to specs. Not sure what the issue was. Maybe aftermarket brake shoes not exactly matching. Next step would have been pulling drums again to see if shoe slipped off adjuster.

    I can tell you that this is the boarding ladder for the CCKW. It has six treads and is 66 1/2 inches long. The data plate of the MX-3391G aluminum ladder also has a DSA number.
