    I understand that there are systems that regulate fuel flow to load to rpm. There is probable a bad ass word for this. If when you stomped the accelerator and if the flow was immediately maxed you'd get all kinds of black smoke. So the adjustment for all this is where you would get the lean...

    did the fan clutch engage? If it didn't there is a bolt parked near the clutch that you can install to keep the fan engaged.
