Since the trans cooler in the engine area is running engine coolant thru it, the engine will actually heat the trans oil if you let it just sit in neutral and idle for 30 to 45 minutes. : )

I gotta get the popcorn out to watch this thread. It can be 10 weight oil, 15w-40, or some auto trans synthetic stuff. An active duty wheeled mechanic here at Ft Carson recently advised me they were putting 15w-40 in everything to keep it simple. The -10 manual will specify different fluids...
