The tires are 285-75/R16. They measure right at 33 tall. I have checked the speedo by a newer vehicle to be accurate i have not gps checked it. Stock engine, stock th400 automatic transmission, stock axles with 4.56 gears. I have ran it that fast a few times and finally took the video.

I have pushed my 08 to 80mph now. It was screaming and turning about 3500rpm with the new IP. It actually rides nice at 80

I don't care to do it again. But running 60 doesn't bother me as much now. I can say at 70 it is kinda loud. Can I ask how you are getting your numbers? Thanks

I drove the green machine the other day to 70 mph on the speedo. The rpm never got over 3k.

How does s the ride feel? When I went 66 it felt like it was going to leave the ground or fly apart. But I have 4.56s.

I was out in the green machine the other day, I ran it 66 on the speedo. Don't get me wrong though, that was down hill, with a heavy trailer, but if was trying to turn it over 3400rpm, so I didn't want to go any harder.

I have a auto meter tiny tach that reads from a prob that clamps to the alternator. I put it on the driver side alt. I'll post some pics for ya

You do have a point about the wind. These trucks are kinda like a brick with tires.

No prob RSH. I get decent mpg around 2000 ish. But when I brought my m1008 home at about 60 it got 14-15.5 range.

That's something I learned when I got my cucv. You will make it there just not a fast as some people That's why I just leave early.

70 mpg ? That's amazing

I had mine once to 65 once, I was coming down a long step hill and I kept playing with the throttle and let it work its way up. But I don't get to drive it that much and most roads around my house are 45

I have an m1008 all stock drive train. I have run it about 60-63 on flat ground and its turning about 32-3350 RPM. I have a tachometer. So I was wondering how fast y'all drive your cucv m1008 or m1028, m1010 or pick up variants also the m1009. Thanks.
