I'm confused. If I understand correctly, the stock 3.08 M1009 axles and the 700R4 0.70 overdrive would give you a final drive ratio of 2.156. With 33" tires at 2100 RPM, that should give you 95MPH. But you report 78MPH at 2100 RPM. Might you be running 3.77 axles?

Stopping power is more of a concern than how fast it will go, IMHO. Especially when towing and/or heavily loaded.
