    The transmissions have slop on the input shafts. Once it is installed in the pilot bushing it goes away(in my experience).

    The IP has a fuel booster pump built into it. If memory serves, there is an O-ring in there that can leak fuel into the crankcase. I might be able to post pics tomorrow.

    Frank, I think that just gives you access to the lifters and push-rods.

    The clutch is a cake walk in comparison. When you pull the trans and put it back in, pull the top cover off and use a short section of chain across the opening. It makes it 1000xs easier.

    Sounds like you have plastic pull cords? Mine were galvanized and are rotted away. Never thought to use nylon.

    Make sure you replace the stock pull cord with stainless wire rope! Mine has rotted out and needs replaced.

    Yes yes, the pyro probe! I did mine long ago and forgot about that, good catch.

    When I did my head gaskets, I put on the new turbo I had sitting there, I installed the new steering shaft I had, injectors, and injection pump. At the least I would have your injectors pop tested and adjusted.
