I'm in the process of putting 1 tons under mine with 4.10 gears so I'm hoping that'll really wake it up. I've had thoughts of doing a sm465 swap but I may stick with the th400 for trail use.
Yep, I feel the same way but it is what it is. Anything newer than 1976 must have emissions testing. Only thing exempt is cars that are less than 6 years old.
I moved from a state where my cucv was an antique vehicle with no emissions to here. Theres been plenty of recent debate about if...
I just don't normally travel on roads with a higher speed limit than 45mph.
It's very different here as far as maintaining speed. Back in Illinois I could travel on any highway at 65-70 mph without issue. Here not so much.
I almost never go over 45mph honestly. If I'm on the freeway I can sustain 65mph but really only the one in town as anything with elevation slows me down pretty quick. I see about 18-20 mpg though if I can keep out of it.
I'm at about 5,500-5,800ft of elevation though
It's a GM4 turbo from a 6.5 using the 6.5 intake manifolds, passenger exhaust manifold and I made the crossover and exhaust. I've been running it about 10 psi or so but turned it down to 5-6psi for the test because I didn't know how "nice" they'd be to it.
Anything newer than 1976 I believe...
