Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

Could be, mostly main road and highway driving for me. And a little off road here and there :D

Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

I'll get an image of mine, but at least 250 miles since I installed the tires and no signs of rubbing at all on bolts or caps. Same spacers and screws.

Went with the 1/4", no signs of rubbing as of yet!

Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

Yes I did end up replacing all 4 U-Bolts Finished mounting yesterday with the exception of the spare which I'm getting a new wheel for. Hands down the best modification I have yet done to my truck, feels like I'm driving on glass with power steering. Also glides right over bumps that used to...

Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

Milled my right perch today. After work I went to reinstall it in the pouring rain, but don't worry I stayed pretty dry and so did my tools! 8-) Right side went back together very easily, I was terrified that the axle would have shifted and caused an alignment issue when I went to lower the...

Bridgeport at my work. I'm building a fixture to set in the vise so the angles on both will be identical even though I'm doing them one at a time.

Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

Got started on my mods yesterday. I already got the spacer plates painted up and waiting in the cab. Replaced the cap screws and pulled the right side spring perch for caster angle modification. Just a couple more days and I'll be ready to change them over!

Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

Thanks for the excellent report! I can wait a couple more days, not in a huge hurry to pay for the mounting. I just loaded the tires in the back of the truck yesterday so I'm ready to go anytime.

Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

Thanks man! Looks like they have 5/16 as well if 3/8 or 1/2 wouldn't leave enough threads on the studs. Also to keep this thread on the subject of the caster angle I am currently sourcing a pair of spring perches so I can mill those down and keep my stock set in case I ever decide to go back.

Valence I am about to order the spacer plates, if you had to do it over again would you have ordered the thicker plates? There is a pretty significant cost difference but if the thicker ones will be better in the long run I would rather just get them now.

They come stock on the front of many 5 tons. Right?

Upgraded deuce's tires to Goodyear G177 11.00R20s (dualed)

Still hoping to find out if I can do this mod before I have the tires installed, will there be negative handling effects on the stock 9.00s?

Ah that makes sense, from what I have read they don't rub together. Wider stance in the front sounds nice, I may experiment with that later on but first I just want to get everything switched over to the 11.00s.

Not 100% sure what you are saying here, spacers are for rear to decrease rubbing on the trunnion cap bolts, right Valence? I will be running my stock Budds, G177s all around and dual rears.

Awesome!!! I had visions of chopping up old Deuce rims to build them as a cost effective solution, but those are very reasonably priced.
