    i agree, check the ignition switch, when the starter stuck it could have been the ignition switch or the starter switch that stuck. glad you had a cutt-off switch.

    if the alternator is putting out correctly, then you have an issue in the wiring from the alt to the light in the dash, its the "resistor" that puts a load on the alt so it excites and makes power. the civilian trucks have a actual resistor in the wire so the bulb is not needed.

    test it again, I dont know where you could have hooked it up to get that voltage, are you sure you had the meter on the correct scale?
