    Another "Don't Use Low-Reverse on 939 Series" Thread? Yes, But Fact Finding...

    The M939's have an automatic trans and reverse is in excess of a 10 to 1 ratio with 685 ft lbs or torque. I think I can see why the transfer case may have issues when engaged in low range on a truck that is trying to move against locked brakes or a heavy load. The A2's made around 750 ft lbs...
