    odiron Coolant Filter Kit

    You should install a coolant filter as a bypass filter. You don't want coolant flow to be obstructed if/when the filter clogs. It will still remove plenty...over time all of the coolant makes it through the filter and is cleaned. It's a pretty smart way to do it.

    I filter the coolant on my 06 F350 diesel. I put the filter on before the truck had 1000 miles. After about 4000, I changed the filter and cut it open...3-4 tablespoons of black casting sand in the bottom of the filter! (I had a pic, but can't find it now). Those things really work...
