This was not a restoration but a preservation mission to bring the jeep back to "motor pool ready status"...but of course the Commander always takes things a step further.
The three blade fan was added for waterborne operations.
Stopped over by the Commander's AO this afternoon to deliver a case of...er....water and to have a little look at the BEHR paint he applied (4 coats) after breakfast this morning.
The paint was still just a little "tacky" and still shines just a bit but it will be just right when it fully...
Maybe you can use the M151A2 as the official "Georgia Mafia Shuttle" to get folks back and forth to the cabins/showers and the "Georgia Mafia Headquarters" camper/compound.:papabear:
I heard a rumor today that a new project (not as involved) may be dropped of at the Commander's AO tonight...or very soon.. What could it be they asked???
I can tell you for a fact...There is NOTHING usual about any of Commander Warp's restorations. If a particular part is made of unobtainium or simply does not exist, he fabs one up!
Remember back when the Commander was working on my K18-C? We couldn't find anything even resembling that...
Molly has been a member of the Georgia Mafia K9 Corp from day one and is held in the highest esteem....well...BabyBear is a little jealous of her but///:roll:
Doc got that engine years ago from a guy that had totally bubbafied his jeep. I guess it wasn't so bad though because the jeep was supposedly too far gone to restore but "ran good when I parked it".
Doc's jeep has been sitting like you saw it in the first few pics for about 8 years.
See...it just never fails....you were SUPPOSED to replace ONE friggin turn signal bulb!!! Now look what you've done!! I guess we are going to have to re-do all the chit at the hooch now!!rofl
