    CRC Contact Cleaner is what you want to use. Good stuff. Don't use brake cleaner.

    You are on the right track. You have high resistance somewhere in that circuit. When you measure the voltage with no load on it, you see 12v. Put a load on it and the voltage drops. Classic. Bad or grungy connector, corroded wire or switch. You'll find one or more of those somewhere in the...
