    Actually Stainless Steel is the best type of bolt/nut to use on aluminum. When I was building deck winches at Kolstrand Marine all the bolts and nuts where stainless steel. Anything else would corrode so bad it wouldn't last a week out on the ocean !!!

    Every time I replace a bolt or screw on my trucks or generators I go with stainless steel. I have a quite a collection of bolts, nuts, Nylock nuts and washers, and screws now. If I need just 2 bolts I buy a box of 100 . I know all the names of the guys at the bolt supply store and they all know...
