    I just said hook it up 24v. I know nothing about hmmwv charging systems or which battery does what. I tinker with deuces and old 5tons.

    I have run 12v winches on 24v for a while. The last longer cause with higher voltage they require less amperage which means less heat. Heat is what kills the motor windings. You can search the world wide webs to see what others say about it if your worried, or not.

    Hook it up like normal, 24v won't hurt it. If your real worried maybe swap out the solenoids for 24v ones.
