    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

Outstanding work Craig. Very impressed with your controllers and programming skill. I like your tough book as well. Lol

That's great Craig. I missed your post last week that you had gotten it cleaned up. Good deal.

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

That is terrible. Sorry to hear that

Very nice, so you did have to do interposing relay for shutting down unit? I'm impressed with those controllers and your ability to adapt to 831. 802/803 will be simple comparatively. Your trailer mounted set is so clean. I'm jealous. Lol. Thanks for the video.

I fully agree with Craig on this one. You,Guy, have forgotten more than most will ever know about gen sets and missile systems as well, I suspect. Too bad we can't talk about those. I also agree with you Guy, this is a great place to collaborate. With great people. I have to concede that you...

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

Oh the thought has occurred to me to do full transfer switch with interposing contactor to segregate the shore power from my gen power so I could pick up load of my full "grid" (house, barns, sheds, etc) at my house. I wish I had thought of it when I was redoing my electrical at my house last...

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

I'm just glad you introduced us to these controllers. I had old panelview 550 and ab plc that I was going to set up like redneck MEP-80XB. Been doing some research, I think I can sell the the 550 for enough to buy these controllers for both of my gen sets. Woo woo.

Wow you are ahead of me. Lol

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

what is output c used for 39,40? It and generator loading relay output d 41,42 are the only true dry contacts the way the schematic looks. The outputs 8,9, 10, 11 look like outputs that would control a true interposing relay which you would have to add.

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

The reason I came up with that is I had intermittent problem with this relay group. Basically using your controller as an interposing relay.

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

You could use the k12 relay if you have a dry contact on your controller

A degree is just a piece of paper that says you have passed a certain curriculum. Boy howdy the English comp and analytical geometry among other non applicable classes I took have not served much of a purpose in my career. You sir have what is really is important, hands on skill and the ability...

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

We have this Bentley system on all kinds of pumps and motors, protects big equipment from completely destroying itself in case of bearing problems etc, allows you to track historical data so you know when it is time to do maintenance. can be a real PIA. In all reality the turbines not all...

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

The mag pickups I'm used to dealing with is a Bently Nevada vibration system. The key phaser is the count module for its system. If you have some vibration issues I might be able to help out with setting a system to shut your gen set down. The gens I occasionally play with are LM 2500. 4.5MWs...

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

Another argument for the optical over the mag pickup is the mag pickups will also have trouble differentiating the gaps in the teeth with them being so close. In my experience mag pickups like a pretty good gap between cycles to be accurate. This is based on PLC based equipment, not necessarily...

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

I hope there is a balance weight you can trigger off of. I don't know if scan rate would be fast enough for teeth counting. I searched TM and didn't find anything about flywheel or pull starter. Went to Yanmar site but didn't find many real details, more sales brochure

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

I can attest to that. I had a bit of inverter issue and unit was still running while a couple of capacitors were on fire or at least having melt down.

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

Would it not be possible to make oil pressure before unit it actually started? If it has frequency input that has high enough range 254hz from pma you could that to verify run Or you could just use the 24vdc permissive power to governor speed control through k12 relay which in effect is oil...

    Connecting autostart controllers 802A / 803A and 831A

Very cool, I am going to sale my panelview 550 that I was thinking of using for some of same applications. These would be way easier to configure and have a much better suite of options. I signed up at DSE website, so I can get more of the information that they would not let me get to without...
