    Why exactly does forgetting to disconnect batteries kill the KDS/Nartron?

    I was told a long time ago when working on airplanes that you never "hot swap" electronics.. Just a little surge when reconnecting and poof you have a paperweight.. I actually have changed a few and when I disconnect the batteries I actually then turn the switch to on to make sure anything...
