All went well picking up the generators and making the trip home. Only two would fit on the trailer, so I have one in the pickup bed. Not sure how I am going to get that one out of there yet. Luckily I don't notice it in the back of the pickup minus the lack of cargo space. I started work on...
I got the generators with no issues. Unloaded two of them at the new house by hooking them up to a post in the workshop and pulling the trailer forward, sliding them down the ramp. The third one is still in the bed of my truck. Not sure how I will get that one out yet. I won't have time to check...
Thanks for the advice! I will call you if I run into trouble. Hopefully I don't have to reverse the truck with the trailer attached. I'm terrible at controlling a trailer in reverse!
Once all is said and done, I will be sure to post some videos of them.
Good info.
I made the appointment online right after I received my paid in full invoice. I have printed out the confirmation and the invoice to bring with me. I did not see an EUC restriction on the items, so I think I am good there. My appointment confirmation states I am picking up 3...
I'm renting a trailer this Thursday to pickup my generators. This being my first time at one of these facilities, should I expect helpful staff or just the opposite?
There may be a tread on this already but I can't find it. Is there some kind of transformer or device I can use that takes 208y and converts it to single phase 120? Both phases would need to be 180 degrees out to make proper 240v. I know I can grab 2 legs off the gen but I only get 2/3 of the...
Right. I don't want to find out I have a leak after I put in expensive fluids. I have not seen it anywhere but do these engines have a problem with cavitation? If so, I will use antifreeze pre-charged with SCA.
As for well nuts, I may want to replace those simply out of good measure. I really...

Here they are.
It will be interesting to see what I wind up with. Now I just have to figure out the rest of the purchase process, rent a trailer, drive to OKC pick them up and invent a way to unload them at the house. The unloading part has me stumped because I don't have a forklift or a tractor to lift them...
I'm not sure if I am allowed to say what I paid on this site but I know they are strict on posting auction data. The three I won were high hour units. The engines looked good and most if not all parts were visibly intact. One of them looks like the engine is brand new. That or someone pulled the...
So...I won 3 MEP 803A generators... I only wanted one but I thought bidding would be more competitive. Lesson learned. I never bid on a government liquidation before. Looks like I will be renting a trailer to get these home. I guess I will fix/test all of them and sell of two.
