    Best place to start is the connections. Then pull the sending unit. This was always a problem with the TQG family.

    If you haven't taken the sending unit out yet, use a magic marker, to mark it were it was screwed into the tank. Sometimes a pita to get back in when it's off a hole or two. Eyeball the slider and coil real good. Sometimes the coil will have a break. All it takes is a arc, and the wire is...

    Vibrations. Open up the set. Remove the sending unit, and check it out. Also check all your wires and connections.
