Eh, no. Steel is an alloy, and there are an infinite number of possible ways to make it. Some mixtures hold up, some don't. Care to guess which end of that spectrum is cheaper to make and machine? And CNC can be done right, and it can be done wrong, and there is a continuum in between those.
