    One thing to add: If you have a problem with your engine overheating, you might want to consider a trans cooler BEFORE the radiator. Any heat dumped out to the air BEFORE it gets to the radiator is heat that won't be put into your coolant. You might still want one after the radiator, as well.

    Heh. I've been saying the same thing, and getting yelled at for it, on many 4x4 forums. But it's basic thermodynamics. If you want the coolest trans fluid temps, you cool after the radiator. Not really a good idea to run a lower t-stat. The engine is designed for a particular temperature...
