I have a variation of this pump (no water separator or fixed upper spout... just goes to a heavy rubber hose with metal fitting (that tucks into the pump front for safe keeping). 27 gpm flow, and real easy turning. A super high quality unit.

Well poly drums will never rust... so there is that. I personally have lined steel drums. I just felt better going with the lined steel, but poly should work just as well (I wanted metal threads at the top).
And so the fun begins again. Ive got a couple hundred gallons put up... might work through it with my truck and tractor through this year, to put up fresh fuel before winter.
