    The pouches BTW have been around since at least the Korean war. They were made of canvas originally. They also can be found on eBay.

    Can you see these tabs? The pouch slides onto that rail on the door. And can you see this snap? The pouch fastens to the door with this snap. And can you see this button? It holds the snap of the pouch to the door. I could make it a bit more clearer to you, but I ran freshly out of crayons.

    It's 8x10" and made to fit in the folder holder. Not sure if they are available. But I would think so. You can find pretty much everything on the market. Edit: You can find them on ebay. I am not going list links, because of them being live auctions.

    There is no mystery about that. (Unless you're a civilian) And I believe it is to holds a folder, called the 'equipment record folder' It includes important paperwork , like forms to fill out, in case of an accident (and there are plenty to fill out, if that happens). But what do I know, right?
