oh,normal guestimation practice is take the last 2 digits of the 2nd group of numbers and that is the year.Not a clean way to do it but that is normal practice.Fairly accurate from what I have seen but not true way to figure out the real year of the truck since there was no assembly line data...

5 ton is a 1970 per standard year guestimation(1969 contract truck) and teh deuce is a 1969(1968 contract date).
