    Ive found most trailers I use that arent pintle hitch use a 2" ball, so thats what ive got.

    Where are you in Ohio? Im down in Cincinnati and have probably 5 or 6 of these trailers. The best setup ive found is an adjustable height hitch plate(I use the 12" tall one) with a pintle/ball combo bolted to the highest setting.
