    Let me add that buying a truck for parts is another maybe cheaper alternative than buying parts singly. Just depends on your expectations.

    What is your long term goal for the truck? Are you trying to get back to Military issue or for your acceptable use? I ask because the parts are still available but it will not be to much longer that some things will not be available unless you want to pay a premium price, and some parts already...
