Yes I had 4 brand new injection pumps. I used one and it lasted less than 6 months. I used the others as cores and gave a few to friends that wanted a spare core. I don't trust old injection pumps. If in doubt replace the injection pump. -

Fuel does not need to leak out to allow air is. If it gets air it also allows for back feed of fuel. This puts massive amounts of air in the lines and then the system must purge that air to operate and start as designed. It really isn't that difficult to keep the air out. But like I stated. If... -

I would say injection pump issues. Get it rebuilt at a reputable shop. It costs about $500. to do in parts. Good Luck.
