Well I had to take a break due to several other problems not related to the truck. Yesterday I got back to it and changed out the vacuum hoses. Now the transmission shifts just fine. I did delete the 2 piece connection at the IP. Next will be an oil change. Also install passenger side door and...
Thank you both for all the help. I know the 2 piece vacuum hose connection at the injection pump is cracked. I did a partial jacked up fix on it. I replaced a small section of the hose too. Hopefully I will get some more free time this weekend. Thanks again.
I can't begin to tell you how excited I am. This truck has been in my possession for about 8-10 years stored away in a shipping container. Of all the square bodies I have I am most excited about getting this one going. I have a few light issues to address and possibly a bad #2 alternator. I...
Ok I will contact hillbilly wizard tomorrow. It looks like there's suppose to be a grommet on the cable as well. The cable fitting is loose on the IP linkage.
I managed to get the other 6 glow plugs out . The Leroy Diesel extractor pulled them all with success and no broken ones. Put the IP lid on from HillbillyWizard and she cranked over for 3 seconds and fired up.
10-4 Tomorrow I will start the process and hopefully I will get the glow plugs replaced. Are the Ac delco G60 plugs ok? Is there another brand or model that's less likely to swell?
#2 and #6 were the only ones that volunteered. I bought the extraction tool from Leroys. Didn't know it but he is just up the highway from me. Not looking forward to the removal. Hillbilly wizard has shipped me the IP. Hopefully there's an end in sight after this.
Well I messed with her a little bit today. I noticed that I have 24 volts going to the glow plugs. I traced back and it appears that the resistors have 24 volts on both sides. What are the chances that the glow plugs are bad now due to the 24 volts going to them?
Wow dude......you are impressive. Your wealth of knowledge is very impressive. Idk what you do for a living but you probably should be paid alot more. Thank you once again
