since thought over time of folk fiddling with this we'd pretty much decided there is no pacbrake programing in the 3116 FMTV's (that spot in TCU was used for PTO programing or something to that effect? ) ...... thus was going forward with there is no such luck in that area and it will all have...
would this hold any gear from shifting up too? aka...... usable as manual button to access lock up like a Pacbrake programing would do automatically if TCU was programed for such?
Bingo you are correct (sorta) - these trucks were geared correctly..... for their military task...... which is NOT correct for our commercial or camper task as your examples show very well.
that's interesting.. long ago had read complete opposite. But you might have hit the nail on the head in that past information Id been review may well have been alluding more to what a single person can actually do to their vehicle..... example it is near impossible to reduce the mechanical...
Makes sense that attitudes flex after big truck purchase based on size of pocket and price of fuel. Hard to enjoy it if you can't afford to drive it "like you once could"
you will get more MPG improvements by doing aerodynamics than anything else..... such as incorporating a cab roof air dam to smoothly guide air up over the habitat roof. Maybe rear wings like used at ass end of big rigs. same with removable air guides like what hangs below big rig's trailer...
